Nikki Walker came knocking on my country manor door (and she brought inspiration and second-chance love with her)!

Nikki Walker says once her muse awakened she found it full of stories waiting to be
 told. With ten books published to date and one on the way - she’s steaming ahead.

Are there cowboys or country manors in any of your stories?

No. But maybe one day!

Don’t despair! There isn’t a cowboy in any of my stories either - but I’m working on it.

Will you tell us about yourself? 

I love the simple things of life. I am a wife and mother and besides writing, I love to crochet.

Now that sounds heavenly.        
 
Are you fun to go on holiday with?

No. I’m wa-aay too anal. It’s very difficult for me to live in the moment.  Just ask my girlfriends who took a
cruise with me.  They wanted to throw my overboard!

Will you name one entity you feel supports you outside of family members?

Aside from my relationship with God, I have the best friends anyone could enjoy!  They keep me going.

When they’re not about to throw you overboard …

What was/is the hardest part of writing your book?

Writing the book!  I am not a disciplined writer at all!

Ha ha - that’s such an honest answer and one I completely understand!

What writing project did you put aside to answer these questions?

I am currently working on a romance titled Loving Gianni.  It’s about a woman who is a professional
organizer adept at making everything orderly except her love life.  

What were/are the challenges (research, literary, psychological orlogistical) in bringing your current story to life?

Loving Gianni is my first IR romance (Interracial Romance).  It’s an experience I’ve never had and because the male protagonist is Italian, I feel the need to capture all that is beautiful about their culture--particularly, in familial customs.

Just hop on a plane but don’t forget your crochet hook - it’s quite a long flight from the United States!
