Are there cowboys or country manors in any of your stories?

Definitely  country manors. I love historical architecture. All that attention to detail fascinates and inspires my creative side. In fact I even have a grand manor in my paranormal work in progress. But heck, who doesn’t love a sexy cowboy? I
would never say never, to writing a story about a gun slinging, chap wearing, bicep bulging, bare chested heart throb sitting astride a bucking bronco. ☺

Gulp. One day, AP, you’re gonna have to write that cowboy story!

Will you tell us about yourself and what genre(s) you love writing?

I write paranormal, contemporary, suspense and I have a historical manuscript that calls to me from time to time. 
No AP Castell character will ever traipse easy street when there are a myriad of dark alley ways and winding rocky mountain tracks to set them blindly on.
(Okay - I’m hooked.)
Dawn of the Sorcerer, my paranormal tale, promises a happy ever after ending. Of course, it wouldn’t be much of a story if the hero and heroine didn’t first suffer greatly. Just to make it more challenging, the main characters are forced out of their comfort zone. Add a pinch of torment and a dash of peril. Stir it around and around. Then and only then, do I give them an out. 
Wrong! That would be far too simple. Instead, I placed them in a situation where they must prove themselves brave and worthy by risking everything for the one that they love. I torture them a little more until finally, I reward them with their happy ending. 

Why isn’t this already a book ? !*?!

What writing project did you put aside to answer these questions? 
 
I’m working on a contemporary at the moment. It is a story about the owner of a multi-million dollar hotel chain and a high school English teacher. I’m not giving anything else away at this time except to say, opposites attract. Or do they?

I actually should be working on my paranormal story. The hero is a warrior prince with powers and the heroine an exotic looking foreigner. It is a tale of mistaken identity, forbidden love, lies and deception.

Keep working on both, because both sound fantastic.

Are you fun to go on holiday with?

Depends. If my fellow travellers are into photography, history, architecture, art galleries, museums, churches and castles, it’s a yes. Otherwise no, I’m boring!

What are books for? 

It is probably easier to answer what they aren’t good for. They are not good for barbecuing or using as a flotation device. Do not use as a parachute or while operating any type of machinery or motorised vehicle. 
 
This is where I’m biased; for every other eventuality or ailment a book is the perfect solution.  To ward off melancholy and/or loneliness, to avoid doing housework, as a Christmas stocking filler, an ornamental decoration. ♥
I could go on and on. Even works as a great Mother’s Day gift. Hello family, big hint!

I  love it when someone answers this question. So many different answers. A good bit of humour in your answer, AP. I particularly like the idea of a book being an ornamental decoration … or a stack of them on a coffee table. Yep, we could go on and on…

Do you see writing as a career?

Absolutely! (Yay!) I just need to stay focused and finish the damn book. (Oh, that old chestnut.)
