Do you get carried away on the internet or in the library or in a magazine once you find something that really takes your fancy? Lots of you love collecting, turning unused to used, making things sparkle and loved again, or maybe you love displaying your items in a particularly artistic way. I’ve always loved all things country curio and shabby chic, so writing The Turnaround Treasure Shop was an absolute pleasure. Here are some country curio, shabby chic and DIY home craft places I checked out while writing the book.
Writing books takes up most of my time these days, but in the past I have to say I wasn’t too bad at curtain making, soft furnishings and various other crafts. I love to display my bits and pieces on a piece of furniture, or on a wall. And one day, I'll get that country manor I so long for. It doesn't have to be a big manor, a small 4-bedroom country cottage would be a manor to me if it was in an idyllic location and surrounded by country lanes and fields. Although if someone wants to leave me their stately house or country manor - I won't say no (just saying).
Don't forget your dreams... And don't forget to keep collecting, loving and transforming your vintage or country curio wares. The Turnaround Treasure Shop is book #4 in the Swallow's Fall series. But all of the books can be read as stand-alone novels (and frequently are, then readers tell me they've gone back to book #1, #2 and #3). Enjoy your crafting, collecting and reading!
