#RWAus Where Romance Writers Gather

This week I'm on my way to Adelaide to the Romance Writers of Australia annual conference. This is a huge deal.

We gather, some 400 of us, to spend up to three days doing workshops aimed at fiction writers.

Plus, we get to enjoy awards night dinner celebrations, have themed cocktail parties, meet up with our publishers and editors, talk it up in the bar or the foyer or our hotel rooms and generally take up all the lift space in the hotel (and the Ladies...).

​Everything that happens at "conf" as we call it, is important. Even the parties. Networking? Yes, of course that happens, but mainly it's our annual time to have fun while we learn and network and possibly get ourselves a book contract.

So many of us know each other and become friends via social media, so it's wonderful to meet up in person.

So this week I'm Adelaide bound for #RWAus16. I have heaps of meetings lined up, with my publishers and all my writing friends.
