Work In Progress Update: The House on Jindalee Lane

On the working side of things, The House on Jindalee Lane (book #6 in the Swallow's Fall series) is going great guns.

Here's a short snippet from the manuscript...
I have 43 pages of notes outlining what happens in the story, and 50 pages of general notes about what needs to be added, pumped up for clarity, or for possible inclusion (plus dozens of other pages full of research for particular elements within the story). The result is a work in progress (WIP) manuscript of over 200 pages and 80,000 words so far.  Pretty happy with this. It should come in at around 100,000 words.

I'm writing in all the usual characters, plus a few new ones. Ted Tillman gets up to some officious busybodying as always, and Mrs Tam continues to be the sweetest woman on earth. But can Edie Granger (daughter of Sammy and Ethan from The House on Burra Burra Lane) comes to terms with what life has suddenly thrown her? And will she get over this undying attraction to Ryan Munroe (brother of Gemma from The House at the End of the Street) without feeling inadequate and unnecessary in her own home town? She's currently feeling like the oddity. And for those who have read previous books in the Swallow's Fall series, you'll know that in this little town, anything odd or unusual can happen, and frequently does...

Sue, I've loved revisiting Swallow's Fall after over a year's gap. Glad you enjoyed your first WIP experience!

I've now finished the 5th book in the Swallows Fall series and Jennie, oh my gosh, you are one amazing writer! I am so looking forward to this next book in the series and I know I will be heartbroken when the series comes to an end with this 6th book.

I'm going to beg now and tell you to PLEASE keep it running, just like some other authors that are now on their 20th or so book in the series. I know there are lots and lots of characters in all 5 books that can have their own story, so see, easy peasy. Lol.

Thank you Sue! I'm glad you liked The House at the End of the Street and the whole series. Book #6 is written. And as usual, I've left myself an option for a book #7 - if people want more Swallow's Fall I'm all for writing it - I love that little town!
